McDonalds starts work/life balance website for their staff

International fast food chain McDonalds, being the target of criticism concerning the restaurant’s working conditions for years, has launched a career and lifestyle website for its 67,000 employees in the UK to support their future development. The ‚Our Lounge‘ website gives them access to an online tutor as well as fashion, music, travel and community areas. Staff can even use the site to take nationally recognised qualifications in accredited exam centre McDonald’s restaurants.
The website answers several questions about why people find a good work/life balance at McDonalds, including a strong commitment to a corporate Diversity policy: „McDonald’s Diversity policy promotes and sustains a working environment which is free from unlawful discrimination, harassment and bullying.
