Datenerfassung als Mittel gegen ethnische Diskriminierung

Das Deutsche Institut für Menschenrechte veröffentlichte kürzlich eine Dokumentation des Fachgesprächs zum Thema „Datenerhebung zum Erweis ethnischer Diskriminierung“. Zu dieser Diskussion fanden sich Experten verschiedener Bereiche im Juni dieses Jahres ein, um sich mit den Chancen und Herausforderungen einer solchen Datenerfassung auseinanderzusetzen.

Konfession hat Einfluss auf die Schulwahl

Die Religionszugehörigkeit stellt bei der Schulplatzvergabe in Deutschland ein mit entscheidendes Kriterium dar. Einem Bericht von SpiegelOnline zufolge wird in Teilen Nordrhein-Westfalens der christlichen Konfession bei der Vergabe von Schulplätzen mehr Bedeutung beigemessen, als dem Wohnort der jeweiligen Schulanfänger. Das Selektionsverfahren sogenannter Bekenntnisschulen führt zu einer klaren Diskriminierung von Anhängern jeweils anderer Glaubensgemeinschaften.
